Our History

It all began in 1976, when entrepreneur Carl DeSantis created Sundown Vitamins and offered an inexpensive suntan lotion as the first product. Recognizing the increasing consumer interest in health and nutrition products, DeSantis launched a vitamin mail order business from his home in Florida. As business rapidly grew, DeSantis expanded the company's product offerings with over 100 high-quality vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements, which were sold directly to retailers under the Sundown® brand.

Today, with hundreds of nutritional supplements geared to people of all ages, Sundown has become one of the most trusted names in the nutritional supplement industry, offering a broad line brand of vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements to consumers across the United States.
